Unfolded Geographies – Panorama

Large format wooden panel, Unfolded Geographies – Panorama was exhibited for the first time in the solo exhibition A Certa Sombra (A certain shade).

In the series of drawings/paintings of Unfolded Geographies, geographical forms are unfolded and multiplied in various perspectives. Sometimes the continents become shadows that cover and expand over the territories; at other times, the continents contract and overlap forming almost abstract forms. The drawings that emerge from these unfoldings are a kind of rewriting of the geography we know.
